Monthly Meetings and programs
WCOC Monthly meetings are held from 1-3 pm on the third Tuesday every month, September through June, in the San Juan Room of the Ouray Community Center. Regular meetings held October & November and January through May feature guest speakers who have interesting and unusual occupations. The public is welcome!
The September meeting is also a “meet and greet” session, catching up with old friends and meeting new!
December’s meeting features our Christmas Program, with entertainment, refreshments, and collection of special treats to share with shut-ins and seniors of the region. WCOC’s Woman of the Year is announced at the December Meeting. The public is welcome at both meetings.
June’s meeting is our annual Salad Luncheon when we install new officers and is open to members and invited guests only.
No meetings are held in July and August, as many of our members are traveling or vacationing during that time.
At each monthly meeting, following the program, guests and members enjoy a social period with refreshments and an opportunity to view various community projects and sign up for committee activities. The regular membership meeting follows, which addresses upcoming events and activities, shares “Cares and Concerns” with members, and reviews other membership business. Members are also encouraged to bring donations for the Ouray County Food Pantry, and at the Christmas program, toys for the Elks to distribute and sweet treats for shut-ins.
